What we have built in
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- The Glasshouse Orbit uses ordinary room radio buttons and a Spin the orbit button. No drawing or dragging is required. Reduced motion reveals the same game without rotating the worlds.
- Close Looking can be answered with the keys 1 to 4.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, animations are removed or replaced with a stable reveal. You can also choose Reduce effects in the footer or above a game. This preference is saved on this device.
- Reel previews open in a larger window after a short mouse hover, or when you activate Preview with a tap or keyboard. They are silent and use no credits. Browse the current collection with the previous/next buttons or the left/right arrow keys. Close the window with its Close button, Escape or a tap outside it. Only one preview runs at a time; reduced-effects and data-saving settings disable automatic hover previews.
- Images of games have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text sizes use relative units, and the layout works from small phones to large screens.
- Collections, favourites and scores never depend on colour alone — each state is also written in words.
What we know is imperfect
The games themselves are animated reel machines with their own controls. Most are keyboard-operable, but some visual effects inside the player are not described to screen readers. The rules panel inside each game describes the features in text.
