An unplanned stop in the glasshouse

How the Glasshouse Orbit chooses a game, and why its turning worlds never change your rounds.

A gallery visit does not have to follow a plan. The Glasshouse Orbit gives our six rooms miniature worlds and lets a little turn choose your next stop. It replaces the earlier drawing feature: there is no canvas, gesture recognition or colour palette to complete.

What the orbit chooses

Leave all rooms open to choose from the full catalogue, or select one room with an ordinary radio button. Each eligible game has the same chance of being selected. When another game is available, the immediately previous game is left out so the next turn takes you somewhere different.

What it does not do

The orbit does not play a round, deduct credits, predict a result or award anything. The turning worlds are a presentation of a browser-side catalogue choice. The selected room, feature and volatility on your boarding card come from that game's real metadata.

It is a way of choosing a game — nothing more. It never touches rounds, balances or results.

In a hurry?

Press Spin the orbit with a mouse, touch or keyboard. With Reduce effects or your device's reduced-motion preference, the same boarding card appears without rotation. Stops remain visible only for this page visit; the orbit does not save them or upload anything.
